Dealing with Scientific and Technical Complexity: Perspectives from Judicial Practitioners
In this series of online talks, we will bring together judicial practitioners from the CJEU and national courts to share their insights on how they handle scientific or technical complexity (or uncertainty) in various policy domains. The aim is to gain a deeper understanding of how this issue, which has been extensively studied by scholars, affects the actual decision-making process of judges. Each session will feature one speaker who will deliver a 30-minute presentation, followed by a 30-minute discussion.
